Amen. Any mark of a true writer is the last one below.
Truth
When I finished Mockingjay I felt:
Happy because with such a powerful story about war and loss, what remained of Panem was able to live on in a Hunger Games free world.
Understanding because although many characters died, it reminded me that life is fragile and yes, sometimes unfair.
Hopeful because even when things seem darkest, it doesn’t mean the fight is over.
Proud because Suzanne’s story, although set in the future, gave a powerful and REAL story. What a great story to share with others.
Reflective because Mockingjay made me realize that life is precious and that sometimes, you can’t always achieve closure.
Satisfied because Suzanne Collins made me feel something. True sorrow for the characters and jubilant for the new reign of peace. War has the ability to destroy families, yet despite that there can still be a happy ending.
